About

We are a charity which supports local initiatives aimed at environmental, educational and recreational projects within the Stoke Newington area. We are committed to working with voluntary and community groups to improve the quality of life of those who live, work or visit Stoke Newington.

We are supported by private individuals and local businesses, notably Guttridges Ltd, who run the Church Street Workshops site. Guttridges was set up in 1994 by local businesses, with help from Hackney Council, to aid in the commercial regeneration of Church Street. There are now seven small workshops there employing fourteen people. We have also benefited from generous support from local individuals.

Since we were formed in 1999 we have contributed to several successful schemes. These include the provision of bicycle racks in Stoke Newington, supplying kit and ongoing support for the Stoke Newington Cricket School and the planting of several species of maple in Abney Park cemetery. We also sponsored several of the events at the various incarnations of the Stoke Newington Festival.

This year we have supported the Clissold Swimming Club, chess at William Patten school and Grasmere Primary School and the Stoke Newington Fete.
